I am not a fan of the 'Use it or Lose it' policy but have no trouble using my quota well before the cut-off date. More importantly, I mainly search out classical music as this can be great value for money. The cost per download is the same without regard to the file size so a concerto 40-50 minutes long might be just 3 long tracks. I believe this applies for some other genres as well.
I had two downloads left last month and DL'd a gem of a piano concerto by Taneyev (Banowetz on piano and highly recommended) which was 35 minutes long in 2 files.
I also like the download manager which is fast, imports album artwork and loads the music straight into my iTunes library.
One thing I don't like, and this applies to most of the other online stores (except Sparks) as well, is the 30 second sample limit. With classical music you rarely get much of a taste in such a short time. Why don't they cut off the last 30 seconds - if they have to impose such a restriction at all
Hello Squash,

I agree when it comes to Classical and Jazz with a Symphony being in
only 3 or 4 movements..and Jazz track are generally 8 mins or longer and generally 4 to 7 tracks they are great values for these quality performances usually from audiophile based labels(Classical). Also African Highlife and Soukous jams have only 4 tracks a album.

That down-loader you have is their new one and I like it as well.Very well thought out, and best of all even faster than their old one, which I thought was fast..

Taneyev is a new composer to me, but I will check it out.

Yes and 30 secs is not adequate for a sample..like Sparks give it to us in
lesser quality 24kps(also downloads faster) but give us at least 90secs.

I will write back soon with some of my value tracks.
