I use the Audio File Format Converter component on the 'Tools' menu of Free CD-DA Extractor which you can download from
ZDNet.nl . It uses the LAME encoder. There is a later version but it's a 30-day trial then 43USD to buy; that's at
Easy CD-DA Extractor at Download.com . These are for Windows.
