The Radiohead website says the discs will be shipped on or before the 3rd December (in time for Xmas
). The only reason I can see for having such a 'low' quality download is that it will encourage people to buy the CD when it comes out. If that is the reason, it is a very good marketing tool, bit like releasing the old picture disc two weeks after the standard album
