Update to previous post--the Media Monkey recommendation seems to work. I compared the bit rates of samples to the downloaded tracks that I have, and they match. Additionally,
emusic will warn of low bit rate selections (ie, 128. See Misfits by The Kinks, for example). When I play a sample of one of these tracks with MM, it reports 128.
