solaris, i knew you were going to hinge on this sentence. and right you are, to a
point. you also know how amazed i am (and many others) how you are able to
find, and then even let people have, the most obscure pieces of music.

but can you find the 5 minute piece that my (now deceased) father played on his
harmonica for my sisters birthday, in 1980? or my own highschool band, for the
opening of the gym, in 19xx? recorded then in, what we thought, almost studio
quality, on a REVOX G36, and now sounding totally muffled?

a few very rare recordings out of 1904, that were reconstituted even by the
Fraunhofer Institute from old wire machines, and really DO sound better thru
the X-Mod? by just pressing a button?
