To re-encode to a higher bitrate from a lower one.
What a waste of time and space?
The only sure fix I have found for these types of files is right click>delete.
Then remember where you got it from and don't go back.

Rolly, I agree with you,your ears are the best tool in this circumstance.

There are times though, that a original recording was not produced
well, and even a 320kbps is not going to help it sound any better......
