i have the feeling YAHOO has left shoutcast radio behind, long behind.
trying it with firefox, i get nothing at all, even the pop-up player will not show
(popups are NOT blocked).
trying opera, i get the following error mssg:
>> Yahoo! LAUNCHcast is currently compatible
>> only with Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher for Windows.
>> Currently, we do not support LAUNCHcast Radio for Macintosh or Firefox
>> on Windows. If you are experiencing difficulties utilizing our
>> service with any other browser application, we recommend
>> trying the above versions to correct the issue.
on it goes: trying GOOGLE CHROME. and comes a similar error mssg:
>> SAFARI is unfortunately not supported yet. We recommend to ...
SAFARI? who used SAFARI? interpreting CHROME as SAFARI? long shot.
well, back to IE6.0. remove all popup blockers, and even free those 4 requested
domains in the popup listing, and then at least the PLAY YOU STATION window
starts, with 'TUNING'.
and thats where it sits. TUNING it is, no more. several tries.
is YAHOO really up-to-date with their shoutcast service. do they still support it?
dont know how you did it. any tips?
greets - henry
PS: had i read somewhere, long ago, that shoutcast was only available to US users?
IP addrss checked etc? could that be it?
