I agree with Nightfly's response and have had several positive PM's and emails with Seva over the past year. He will take care of any and all issues, just give him some time.
I am not thrilled with the Java based downloader either, but it does work. Just make sure you have the most recent version of Java, or you may experience some problems. The most recent version/link can be found on the Soundsbox site.
