I love his duet with Aretha "I knew You Were Waiting" you have to be good to hold up to her.
A song on that album called Mother's Pride is probably one of my favorite songs of all time. See, I'm not all metal.

Honestly I listen to pretty much everything. Just not really into hip hop much. Really got into classical and opera recently as well. Bet that is a shocker

His cover of Stevie Wonder's "They won't go where I go" is one of the most hauntingly beautiful songs in the world. "Listen without prejudice" is one of my favourite albums of anyone

I'm not a fan of the show but, as an Oz expat, Micheal's progress attracted a lot of interest here. The controversy of his elimination reached hysteria proportions Ironically, because of it, he is arguably as well known, with professional opportunities as great, as if he had won the thing.

Cliche warning!! - It's an ill wind.....

Wonderfully said Squash. Question, is the new version of INXS well received in Australia? I will never forget where I was the day after Michael was found dead. I was at a U2 concert in San Antonio, TX and during a song they started singing Never Tear Us Apart and then a couple of other songs were dedicated to Michael that night. I was a huge INXS fan and was looking forward to seeing them live on the Elegantly Wasted Tour when that happened.

I'm going deep into the 80's music now. If you really want to play some great songs tomorrow, or great bands try these and listen to more than jsut the popular tracks, you will be amazed at what you find:

Talk Talk
Simply Red (i know everyone knows them in the EU)
Kon Kan
Cutting Crew
Big Country
Tears For Fears
Johnny Hates Jazz
Murray Head
Belouis Some
The Outfield
Level 42
T'Pau
Kajagoogoo
Modern English
Alphaville
a-ha

I could keep going all night

I am not to concerned with Mr.Johns future, with his chops.
He can always go back home and be a star, or stay here and do the same.

Many times the 2nd and 3rd place non winners have better careers
than those that actually win.

and I can't believe I am actually having a coversation about American
Idol.....which has never really been my cup of tea,but the family has it on
and I love Simon..because someone has to tell these terrible singers the truth.
