I have only made the Farnham beer festival once (five years ago), and that was because a mate managed to get hold of some tickets from somewhere. I have given up even trying to go there now as as you say, tickets are impossible to come by,

Hirs, you can't prove a damn thing... I had nothing to do with it! You can't make me admit anything (unless you are in possession of photos, that is...)

Great Topic - 12-31-2007, 02:57 PM

Folks;

Great topic!
I have spent the last few minutes furiously writing down all the brands of beer being mentioned as I have never heard of any them!
Anyway....I am off to the local BevMo, when they open in 3 hours, so see if they carry any. I live in the LA area.
I am sure any or all are better than the PBR (Pabst Blue Ribbon) that I usually drink!

Thanks again - Mark

You should try a real beer like; Theakstons Old Peculier or Adnams Broadside or even Jenning's Snecklifter Strong.

Theakstons Old Peculier was always my favourite tipple. Unfortunately Old Peculier doesn't describe the beer, it describes what it does to you, and I'm dry now. Anyone know the Hill Inn at Ingleton? Ah, happy daze

Hey Mark, don't forget some great American beers (although I wouldn't say PBR is one of them ) If you haven't already check out:
Anchor Steam Beer - San Francisco
Samuel Adams (from Boston) - massive range of beers with loads of different styles on offer.

Also, not American, but you should try Budweiser Budvar from the Czech Republic. The real, original, damn it tastes of something Budweiser.

Whatever, there's no such thing as bad beer it's just that some are better than others
