Saw the game and thought England played OK but not fantastic.
Was great to see John Terry scoring after what he went through last week with Chelsea, and also good to see Beckham still making a contribution.

I will probably still watch the Euro 2008 finals, but it will not be the same without England being there

I saw bits of the game, but these friendlies are never much to watch.

Starcat, are you going to pick a team to support for the Euros? I feel like I have to be cheering someone on or it just doesn't work for me. I am going to pick Spain (sorry Spain, but that is the kiss of death) for no reason other than I like the shirt.

Hi Dave,

I think Croatia have a good chance, judging by the way they took apart England and won their group convincingly.
Would like to see them do well.
Also, I agree with you on Spain, it`s about time they made a real impression on a major tournament, with the talent they have.

At the last world cup I had £10 on Croatia to win (at 60:1 I think). Don't think I will bother with them this year (please don't win now),

You're right - there won't be the same buzz about Euro 2008 without England in it......at least for we England supporters !
I can't help thinking, looking at the groups that we are considerably better than half of the teams in the comp. !
Still - I'm compensating by treating myself to a new Sky Hi-Def. TV service which will enable me to watch the matches on the main terrestrial channels in luxury.......
Oh - what could have been - had it not been for those awful goal-keeping errors.........

BTW- did't think Croatia were that brill. - after all - it was a bumpy pitch and terrible Paul Robinson blunder and McClaren's tactics which cost us - BUT we should have at least drawn the Wembley match - imho !
