I can't help thinking, looking at the groups that we are considerably better than half of the teams in the comp. !
Still - I'm compensating by treating myself to a new Sky Hi-Def. TV service which will enable me to watch the matches on the main terrestrial channels in luxury.......
Oh - what could have been - had it not been for those awful goal-keeping errors.........

BTW- did't think Croatia were that brill. - after all - it was a bumpy pitch and terrible Paul Robinson blunder and McClaren's tactics which cost us - BUT we should have at least drawn the Wembley match - imho !
Yet another schoolboy keeper's error - DOH (Carson this time).......

I quite fancy the Czech Republic to do well......
The Czech Republic do have a good chance.
These "dark horses" teams are always fancied, but when it comes to it, it will probably be Germany or Italy who end up winning it.
Mind you, who would have thought that Greece would win it last time?

Yes indeed, solaris.

That`s when they were famously invited to play in the tournament only at the last minute, to replace Yugoslavia, which was experiencing civil war at the time.

Me. I had £10 on them to win at 80:1 (I was very happy that year),
Cheers,

Oddly enough, I also remember exactly where I was, when the "called back from several weeks of vacation"-team won the European Championships

Euro 2004 was the only time I have every done really well at gambling. I also had £10 on England to beat Croatia 4:2 (66:1), and they did. Ever since then, not won much at all. Who knows, my luck could change this championship,
Cheers,
Dave C
