Happy Halloween everyone! What are you dressed as? -
10-31-2007, 08:02 PM
I hope you all have a happy holiday today. Do they celebrate Halloween anywhere other than here in the US?
"I am Batman!" Mostly because I have a shirt with a logo and a Dracula cape, so it was easy. The other night at a party I was also batman, but a different kind, as I had a wooden baseball bat running thru my gut and coming out my back. It was very gory. I would have used it today, but it would be tough to sit down at work with that freakin bat sticking out of me.

All Hallows Eve -

Hi Veganfred, no certainly not celebrated in the UK to the same extent as in the US. Apart from anything else I think If I turned up for work at my straight laced Japanese employers I would, probably, be instantly fired but then again maybe that wouldn't such a bad thing.
My kids got all dressed up and went out tonight though, with their friends, knocking on doors and came back with a large bag of sweets (candy) each. They seem very happy
I think my favourite thing about Halloween is watching old Haloween episodes of "Roseanne" & " Simpsons" although I understand there's a Frasier Haloween special on tonight - think I must have missed it first time round.
Enjoy the rest of your Haloween and may fear be with you

It is a pretty quite affair over here in the UK. We have had three sets of witches knocking on the door, and do not think we will get anymore now (getting on at 8:15 pm). This means that all of the sweets which we got in are now just sat there on the Table staring at me. Get the feeling I'm going to put on a few pounds tonight ,
Cheers & happy Halloween,
Dave C

I hope that the candy and such are at least safe to eat over there. On this side of the pond, you never know whether the treat will be a trick or not over.
American Halloween TV shows; not much different than over here. How long before you get to see next week's new Simpsons' special?

You can feel free to send me the non-chocolate ones, as the take at work was pretty sad.

Last time I went for a concert said you forgot to ask for a t-shirt Let me guess - Duran Duran t-shirt is not something on your t-shirt list?

I heard them sing live on Howard Stern this morning. I think they said the first part will be their new album, then some synthesizer stuff, and then the oldies. I hope you have fun. They're not on my iPod, but they're okay when the mood is right.
