I got pwned by the grammar nazi.... - 09-14-2008, 09:09 PM

It's a good thing that i've never professed to be good at engrish. I have always been more adept at numbers and concepts (spatial, numeric, physical).

In my own defense, I had just finished up 5 hours of client/server error testing. It's amazing the neat things that you can get to happen when you mess with how fields are parsed by inserting special characters.

Thank you to the grammar nazi for pointing out my mistakes. I will be sure to make them again to keep you in business!

...fear smart women... for they will solve the worlds problems in a practical and effective way... putting many men out of work

P.S - Your books miss you

fun·gous /ˈfʌŋgəs/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[fuhng-guhs] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation
–adjective
1. of, pertaining to, or caused by fungi; fungal.
2. of the nature of or resembling a fungus.

That is actually not the problem in that sentence

If it's the word 'fungous' you are objecting to here, Princess, then you are WAY off...

It was actually the only word I looked up in my xxxxxx - English dictionary, when making this post - just to make sure that I used it correctly.

Chris said that some of his CD's were getting covered with fungi and therefore I used the perfectly normal word 'fungous'

Look it up and you'll see that I'm right

I'm amazed no one has made the 'fun-guy' to be with joke yet (where Hirs??),
Cheers,
Dave

What is wrong then, Princess?

I certainly can't find it

It's not CD's either because you can write both CDs and CD's in plural

You see, I am not objecting to the word "fungous", which is perfectly fine. I am however objecting to the word "CD's", a mistake you have, surprisingly enough, made again in this post No apostrophe

Ok, you win. You are perfect.

I didn't think the apostrophe was appropriate
