Just needing someone to talk to - 10-24-2007, 04:11 PM

Hi everyone

I have been a member of this forum for several months now. Even though I have not contributed much in conversation, I very much enjoy visiting here on a daily basis to see whats happening. You have done some great things for a lot of people and you should be told that sometimes. Your great attitudes make this forum the most fun and I have come to feel like you are extended family, I hope you don't mind. Music has been an important of my life and has gotten me through some rough passages over the years. I have just recently been laid off from my job of 14 years and now it seems like the city of san diego, where I live, is burning down to the ground. So many homes lost, so many lives changed forever. Just some positive thoughts and prayers would mean so much here. more later.......

Hi tonypono.

Thank you for your kind words. It is really nice to know that those (whom we see as guests, when we view who's online) are sometimes someone popping by ever so often and not always people passing by and never coming back.

That said, I hope the Man Upstairs will provide a lot of rain for the people on the American west coast and that you'll have fortune in finding a new job...

Hello Tonypono,

First I am so sorry to hear about your recent troubles and I watch
the tragedy of the fires uprooting families and lives. But I am glad
that you find music and solace here, because I as well as others really do care and I will certainly pray for you as well as other members, for
divine help and guidance.
I left a job after 17 years because of disability, though it's not exactly the same thing I know what it's like to be displaced from a job you invested so much time and spirit into..But you will get past this and build your self
back up,thats what I did..it takes some patience, but it will happen.
Since you asked for prayer, have faith that your prayers
will be answered...as you have found from experience ,they always are,
in some form or another.
If there is anything else we can do post or pm and we will be glad to help.

Peace and Blessings,

Nightfly

Hi Tony,

I'm very sorry to hear about your current situation. I'm sure it feels like the walls are crashing in on you, but please don't give up. I'm sure you were good at what you do, or your employer wouldn't have kept you on for 17 years. Good employees are hard to find, so you will have no problem finding new employment when you are ready. As for the beautiful city of San Diego which I have family nearby in San Clemente, I know it will overcome this unfortunate situation, and return to its pristine beauty. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.

Thank you so very much for your kind words Solaris, Vikulenka, Nightfly,Bobwhite. In the wake of these tragedies, so many people have come forward from other states and in our own communities to offer all types of assistance. I have no doubt that everyone will persevere, there simply no other option. Its so very nice to have good people like yourselves to chat with. I'll let you all know how things turn out.Again, bless you and your families . Take Care

Hi Tonypono, sorry but I've been off line for a couple of days. I know what you mean about the extended family and 'virtual friendship' of this site. I'm so sorry to hear your personal news and also that of your City and parts of your State. I wish you and your people well - take care.

Thank you for your kind words. Three fires remain and are partially contained. The possibility of evacuation for me remains but the possibility is a lot less now. A lot of firefighters, volunteers, and just people in general came from many places and helped in all ways possible. As long as there are people helping and caring for one another in this world there is hope for some kind of peace and understanding.

tonypono,

I am truly happy that things are improving in the
right direction for you and you state.
Yes that's what makes our country(the US) great...
It's the people !
And I believe as well that there can be Peace
and Understanding among us, all through the World..
Because this is the true desire of the masses
despite the posturing of our Government's.

If that's what we want,we must make it so.

Your post is truly inspirational and I appreciate
you sharing this with us.

Peace and Blessings,

Nightfly
