Looking for Redgum/Found a good preview site - 03-02-2008, 10:34 PM

I was looking around for Redgum albums, and I came across this site.
You type in what you want to hear, and then it searches for available streams, from all over the world I guess, then you select a link from all the links offered.

I typed in redgum, and from seven links they gave me,I selected this one for the track "I was only nineteen".

Be forewarned.Turn your volume down if you are using a headset.
It came in so fast, clear, and LOUD it caused me to rip the headset off.
It was as though I was in the same room the music was playing in.
Seems to be a good site for hearing a good quality sample of a track.

And I still haven't found any of Redgums albums.
They are as I've seen
1.If you don't fight you lose
2.Virgin Ground
3.Brown Rice
4.Kerosine
and a few others live show and such.

Anyone know which exact album the track "I was only 19" came on?

Redgum's third album was "Brown Rice and Kerosene" (Delicious combination)

The song you are looking for was first recorded on their 4th (live) album called "Caught in the Act".

5th "Frontline"
6th "Everthing Legal Anything Goes" (a compilation).
7th "Midnight Sun" (after Schumman left the band).

You can also find a recording of the song on John Schumman's second solo album "Gelignite Jack".

Hope this helps.

Squash

Hi there! The album you need is "Caught in the Act". It s a great one and I have it on cd! You can get it almost anywhere! I think it also has most of the other songs you would be wanting as well. Was wondering if anyone was able to discover where I could get a copy of redfum's "midnight Sun". I have it on tape but it is not coping too well with being listened to all the time!
