Well Done to the Russians, who fully deserved their impressive demolition of favourites Holland last night !
In fact - they out-played the Dutch at their own game - free-flowing, attractive , positive - and above all TEAM football !
The Dutch chose this game for their one poor performance it seems all teams have in this competition - and paid the price.
Strange this - the so-called ' under-dogs ' have won all 3 of the quarter finals so far....
Spain Vs. Italy tonight !
P.S.Was sad to see the excellent Croatians lose-out on the penalty shoot-out.
A far more impressive team than the lucky, negative and cynical Turkey...
Strange that the only qualifying group to have 2 teams in the last 8 - was England's group.
Makes me feel a little bit better......

It was Germany against Portugal actually, solaris.
I think many people considered Portugal as the favourites for that game after they were impressive in the group stages, and the Germans were outplayed by Croatia, but it just goes to show you can never write off the Germans
