Well, in Atlanta it's all Coke - whether it's Coke, Pepsi, perrier, or iced tea. More correctly in south-speak, really, it's "CoCola".

wow, very interesting. in my neck of the woods it's called "pop". it's amazing how it changes from different parts of our country.

should be really interesting to see what our friends across the pond have to say.

In the western US it seems like most people refer to it as pop. I have friends in St. Louis, they always referred to it as soda - in fact when I called it pop then didn't know what it was.

As far as this Brit is concerned, I call CocaCola - Coke and PepsiCola - Pepsi.

Generic supermarket brands just get called Cola.

Soda here usually means either Soda water or Cream Soda.

I just drink Diet Coke

If you have one watch you know what the time is. But if you have two you don't know which one is right.

The more advice you get the more confusing it becomes.

Pop is also a British thing (demented or otherwise )
Fizzy drinks are known as pop over here, and soda isn't used as a word to describe them.
