Question Summer Movies - which are you looking forward to? - 05-27-2008, 01:41 AM

what movies are you guys, gals most looking forward to for the rest of the summer?

Here's my top 5.

1. The Dark Knight - i've been wanting to see this ever since I saw the first pictures of Heath Ledger as the Joker. Looks insanely good.

2. Pineapple Express JoBlo's Movie Emporium: Reviews, News, Trailers, Wallpapers, Scripts, Upcoming Movies, Posters This movie looks AWESOME! Seth Rogen has become my new favorite comedic actor!

3. The Happening Apple - Trailers - The Happening - I'm a pretty big Shyamalan fan, so i'm definitely excited to see this. I hear the ending sucks, but it still looks like an interesting concept.

4. Hancock Apple - Trailers - Hancock - Will Smith always delivers.

5. Wall-E - http://www.apple.com/trailers/disney/walle/Has PIXAR ever made a bad film? Seriously they score big with every movie they do, so this has gotten awesome written all over it. Plus it reminds me of Short Circuit! Johnny 5!!!!

Others: Eagle Eye(teaser looks awesome!), Wanted (story looks like shet, but the special effects look amazing), Step Brothers (Will Ferrell is always hilarious), X-Files, Get Smart (looks hilarious!), The Love Guru (looks iffy, but Alba and Good are hot as hell).

thanks,

cr

Can't possibly believe that this will come close to the quality of the comic by Frank Miller, but can't wait to see it,
Cheers,

WALL-E!!!!!

I've been waiting for it since I saw trailers for it nearly a year ago. It looks soooooooooooooo cute!!!

... oh and "Indiana Jones". I've not watched it yet, though I planned to go this weekend.

I've seen an extended sequence to The Happening and it looks quite bad. It even makes Mark Wahlberg look a really crap actor. The directing and script are the culprits though...amazingly bad.

I used to like M Night, The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable are amazing films but his last two have been shocking.

Films I'm looking forward to are The Dark Knight, X Files, Wanted and Tropic Thunder. Tropic Thunder definitely looks to be THE best comedy of the summer.

Looking forward to seeing the new Indiana Jones as I enjoyed the first 3 in the series.

The Dark Knight - Heath Ledger's performance looks absolutely brilliant.

The Incredible Hulk - if only to erase the memory of Ang Lee's execrable version.

Hancock - the trailers looks like a good tongue in cheek sendup of superheroes.

Hellboy 2 - thought the 1st was really well done.

Hamlet 2 - looks like it has potential

might be rental worthy:

The Vanishing - after "The Village" and "Lady in the Water", I've pretty much given up on Shyamalan. He's a great director, but an awful script writer.
