What music service are you using? - 07-07-2008, 09:11 PM

Like many others, I LOVED using Allofmp3 and its earlier incarnations, but from the U.S. it's virtually impossible to fund it. If only I'd known in advance, I woulda' put $300 or something into it while I could.

So any recommendations? I don't mind paying up, but I only want 320 bitrate mp3's. Paying $1 for a 192k song from Amazon just doesn't do it. Anyplace else I can go that takes MC, Visa, or PayPal? 42 steps and a cell phone is just too much for an old fart...

TIA!

Hi davidaugust111
Welcome to the forum

As you say you only want 320 kbps, Millisong' s catalogue is exclusively in that bitrate, and very reasonably priced too.
Their range is reasonable, not as good as allofmp3/Sparks, but they are currently adding lots more albums every day.
Alternatively, Lavamus has a good and ever expanding range of titles in 320, which can be searched separately from their lesser bitrate albums.
Or if you would prefer to choose your own site, take a look at our sister site Rutunes - MP3Fiesta MP3sale Legalsounds Soundsbox eMusic MusicMP3 Iomoio which has reviews of all the Russian/Ukrainian sites.
Hope you find a site that suits you

Thanks Starcat. I'll look at the places you mention. I did look at MP3Fiesta, but had read elsewhere in the Forum that you don't know what their bitrate is until after you purchase the file.

Thanks for sharing!

Dave

It's OK, Dave, glad to help out a fellow member.
I don't know where you got that idea about mp3fiesta.
All their bitrates are clearly listed next to each track on their site.

Good luck with your search!

Starcat, the Millisong is Great! Very easy to get money into, easy to search, the prices are extremely good. I haven't spent a lot of time on browsing their catalog, so I can't speak to that compared to Allofmp3. I'll eventually look into some of the others for whatever I don't find at Millisong, but in the meantime it's wonderful to be getting clean, fast downloads again. Thanks!

You're welcome, Dave!

I'm glad you found my advice useful and I'm really pleased that you have found a site you are so happy with
Happy downloading and listening!
