Thumbs up "Bijou" and Bootlegs? - 08-05-2012, 10:32 AM

I am not normally a fan of "bootlegs" but I find this 4CD, all live sets, truly brilliant. I love Dire Straits, and especially live, this is a great 50 songs for $4 and anyone who likes them will not be disappointed.

I love this stuff and he has a story that's pretty similar to Iron and Wine: his 1st 2 cd's were self produced and recorded at home

Thumbs up Mark Knopfler - Privateering (2012) - 09-16-2012, 06:30 PM

Mark Knopfler has a new 2CD album called Privateering. It is a great album.Full with diverse tunes. This is not a rock and roll album but don't let that stop you these are well paced Blues,English folk, country and ballads, and a few up tempo rockers. But It is such a great listen. All the tunes have great melody lines.Give it a listen.

I got this from a friend as a Promo copy.So Chris if you find it on any of the stores or anyone else please let us know where to get it..Thanks.

Edit: I found it at MP3Million at .09 for 21 songs =1.89 good price for 2 CD in 320 if you want Flac Megaboon has for 4.80 not a bad price for a 2 CD Flac album.Much cheaper then Sparks.

Thanks Nightfly, I like Mark Knopfler so I will have a listen to this one.

Also it's good to hear about Megaboon doing it in flac format. I have recently changed my audio system and I now stream my music from a NAS box in flac format, so I have been slowly replacing all my mp3's with flac versions - a long ongoing task I think.

I was looking at Sparks and to be honest their price for flac format is almost the same as buying the CD from Amazon.

And talking of Amazon I have come across an amazing seller on there who is doing used CD's for £0.01 + £1.26 postage - £1.27 for a CD! I have bought quite a few over the past couple of months and so far they have all been perfect.

Hope you are well.

Hello Ashley

I am positive You will enjoy the new album.I buy and sell used CDs on Amazon and get great bargains there and have had not one return either way.A good way when owning the CD is a must.Usualyy a good listen in my mp3 player,I finally got a new one.A sansdisc sansa fuse plays all kind of media, sounds and play pictures and video great. But the sound is really good and has a equalizer. It acts as a drive easy as pie to use.

Good luck with you new audio system.Tell us about it,If it is good enough for Flac it must sound really good.

Take care my friend..

Hi My Friend,

Love Mark Knopfler, seen him live, but still prefered him when he was leading Dire Straits to be honest. Only $1.60 in Megaboon.

Regards
