Change of tactics here, in the face of acute brain-ache. I've put all my other investigations to one side and I'm listening to early Michael Franks albums - The Art Of Tea and Sleeping Gypsy. Sometimes you just need some soft, soothing sambas.

Not his later stuff, though - it's so sugary, I think I'd be sick.

That's enough of that! I think I'm turning diabetic.

I was listening to my all-time favourite album this afternoon - Gaucho by Steely Dan. I don't listen to it much because I've heard it so many times - but today I noticed the sound quality on the CD didn't seem as good as on some of my downloads. It's an old CD - possibly bought around 1985 - but Steely Dan were always sticklers for state-of-the-art sound. Does anyone know anything about the quality of old CDs?

Marillion & Misplaced Childhood. Maybe not as jolly as "girls talk", but still a classic

It's been a long time

I've been looking for "Need A Shot Of Rhythm And Blues" for ages. Have you seen it in your travels?
