Really like The WaterBoys

If you like the Waterboys, it is well worth it to pick up the Fisherman's Blues Collectors Edition. It has the original remastered (sounds better, no doubt) and also a 2nd disc of songs from the same sessions which weren't released. The good part is that disc 2 is just as good as disc 1, and the booklet gives detailed info on the songs by Mike Scott.

Don't think I can afford to sign up to yet another store at the moment - I've already got four on the go. So far I've had to re-mortgage the house and sell my child into slavery.
I did put in a request to Millisong for some more Jr Kimbrough albums (they have one) but I now notice you have to have a $100 balance to make a request.
Found one RL Burnside album but I think some hip-hoppers got at him on that one. MP3sale had one "coming soon" but then it disappeared.
Still, I like the music and I'll keep hunting.
Also enjoying The North Mississippi Allstars, which someone else recommended.

Yes I was the one who first recommended The North Missisissippi Allstars
and then Hirs.Ute became a fan.
Luther Dickerson of that band is a great young slide guitarist.They are also
available on eMusic.If you go to the eMusic forum ..there is a link there
for 100 free downloads..You can take your downloads and if you don't want to continue, cancel before the month is up, and you would have lost nothing
and gained a few cool albums.....

As Mehrens2112 once said "Great minds think alike". I saw Mike Scott several years ago, he was awesome. Waterboys are truly an under-appreciated gem, and I'm thankful to an old flame who turned me on to them years ago. She was as Irish as a four-leafed clover!
