Paul Weller's stuff is generally very good, although he does occasionaly make some awful mistakes. Check out Stanley Road, Wild Wood and Heavy Soul. Echoes of the Small Faces and Traffic.

Hi Nightfly, Paul Weller WAS The Jam. I think Gaucho just about summed it up except he omitted the band "The Style Council".

The only sad point was that I was listening to the radio this morning and they had Rick Buckler on who was the drummer with The Jam. Of course there are two sides to every story but he was explaining that since 1983 Paul Weller hasn't even acknowledged the existence of his former band mates and refuses to respond to any attempts at contact.
