Nice relaxing song though.
I'll check it out....

Oh, how you do make a girl blush!

What's the verdict on Paul Weller's new album by the way, Sir?

I have to give it another listen,I was distracted on first listening..
But it seems ok..
Which older solo album do you suggest ?...

I am familiar with The Jam and Style Council.

"Wild Wood", of course. Most excellent.

I used to hate Paul Weller. I didn't like The Jam (sacrilege to some) or Style Council. I had problems with both the music and the image.
But when Wild Wood was released there was a huge buzz about it. Weller is from my generation and grew up with the same music - Small Faces, Traffic etc - and the influences really showed in this album.
When I heard it I had to concede I was wrong about him. Then he released Stanley Road and Heavy Soul, which were just as good.
He's a strong-willed guy and tends to go off at tangents, which makes his later stuff a bit inconsistent. Haven't heard the new one yet.
Incidentally, you were talking earlier about Dr John. Weller covered I Walk On Gilded Splinters (from Gris Gris) on Stanley Road.

Great drum solo.............
If I might, I would like opinions on the playlist that I am presently sampling.

All God's Children - The Finn Brothers
Summersong - The Decemberists
Paragon - Charlotte Hatherly
Here Come the Romans - Cherry Ghost (sounds like Steely Dan to me)
Stop Joking Around - Hawklsley Workman
World Spins Madly On - The Weepies
Rain - Bryan Adams
Stupid Girl - Alexz Johnson
Any Other World - Mika
These Photgraphs - Joshua Radin
New Soul - Yael Naim
Gap - The Kooks
Living Life - The Eels

Bet I'm older than you

The Finn Bros...I believe are the ones from crowded house.

The Decemberists and The Kooks and the Eels are popular around here
for Iddie fans

I like the Weepies...got to check oot Cherry Ghost if you say that sound
like Steely Dan

Mika has been heavily debated here.. music to last a lunch time.

And Bryan Adams is well, now a r&r legend and not
to be confused with Ryan Adams who is a great alt/country artist
and superb writer.

and about our age I won't argue with a guy named Jesus........

I don't know about all their work. Haven't listen to enough of it yet, but vocals on that particular song reminded me of Steely Dan.
