About a year ago I started having the same problem....posted in several different forums on different sites to see if anyone had any solutions that would help. I tried them all - and it wasn't until probably January-ish of this year that I found out the REAL problem I was having with
GoMusic....
(recap first) I suddenly couldn't get on to any of the site. It started one day with not being able to download and then the next day all other pages gave me a "page not found" or "IE cannot display the page" (depending on the browser I was using). Got a new (read: SECOND) computer in my home office and still couldn't get on. Emailed
GoMusic several times - they helped me do a trace that indicated things were going through so it wasn't "their" problem. Emailed my own ISP to see if they blocked the site ... still no help.
In about Jan08 I experienced an unrelated issue with my ISP that resulted in them resetting my IP address. Guess what - suddenly
gomusic was back. I emailed my ISP to ask if there could have been a connection between the old IP addy and newfound ability to connect to my beloved
Gomusic. Their response....
....absolutely!
If you try the "ping" thing, and the "open DNS" thing and all those other "things" one can try on their own without destroying their computer and still nothing works, perhaps think about having your IP Address reset by your Service Provider.
...or, maybe their site is just down for a bit? I just tried it (when I read your post - just out of curiosity) and it worked for me - I am in Canada though, so perhaps thats like comparing apples and oranges?
