Buttons Missing - 01-24-2009, 10:48 AM

pastor, another 'why-henry-again' question: i keep coming across albums where
the 'BUY ENTIRE ALBUM' button is completely missing, and i can not find any other
way of ordering/downloading it.

latest sample would be, just now, Glen Campbells's ''MEET GLEN CAMPBELL''.

nothing to do with the computers (plural!) or browser or cache or anything on
this side, tried all alternatives, same result.

can you let us know, pls? no hurry ...

greets - henry

Well, first of all - what do you mean by "Buy entire album"? There are always just 3 options:

"add album to cart", "add to cart" and "purchase selected".
All 3 buttons are available for me on that album page.

From what i've seen on your account - you've already purchased this album, so could you please clarify what exactly the problem is?

apologize, wrote this from memory and on another comp: naturally
the ''ADD ALBUM TO CART'' was meant.

and thats the one missing, for sure. am now on my wifes laptop, and its the
same here. see screenprints attached: the first one has, after selecting this
album, the button missing, the second one, same artist/another album, has the
button right there.

>> your account - you've already purchased this album

eh? certainly not. only heard about it yesterday, and when i wanted to
include it in my cart, the purchase button was missing. downloaded two
other album without problems though.

just checked my D/L history: the two other albums are there, certainly not
the GLEN CAMPBELL album.

>> please clarify what exactly the problem is?

wish i'd know. above was checked and double checked, so i am at loss.

greets - henry

pastor, it gets even stranger. the right thing for the weekend ...

there is a Download History, and a My Music section, which, from all i can
tell, are duplicates. according to these lists, i have downloaded rather few
albums, and nothing at all for the past three months!

which is not true.

now: there is another listing of purchases in the BALANCE section, much more
complete than the MY MUSIC one, with plenty of downloads even past three month.

where does the inconsistency between the three lists come from? should MY
MUSIC and DOWNLOADS and PURCHASES not be all the same?

because: there, on purchases, that album shows up, bought on 30dec. it
will be difficult if not impossible to prove, but i neither ordered or downloaded
it then. checked my library, its not there. and only 3+ weeks ago, i would not
have considered it a 'find' in a magazine yesterday, discussed it with a friend,
and then tried to download it.

at least that might explain how and why that 'ADD ALBUM TO CART' button
is not there. but before someone chimes in here and asks in what state of
mind i was on 30dec: as sober as sober can be, on duty.

greetings - henry

pastor, i have been playing detective for a bit, checked some dates and
possibilities and i think i found out what (still: might have) happened.
during the Xmas week i shown my wife how to use MP3 Sale. and i think
on 30dec she tried to surprise me (actually for 04jan) knowing how much
i like glen campbell (who i had once met in person).

then, two days later, there was a death in her family, and she had to travel
abroad, returning in about a week from now - and i think then i will get the
'surprise' from her laptop. not 100% sure, but 99.9%.

well, rather than erasing my posts, lets leave them here as a sample of probably
the strangest enquiry you might have gotten for a long time.

so far, it leaves me pretty red-faced anyhow.

greets - henry

PS: the difference between MY MUSIC and DOWNLOADS and PURCHASES
is still something i would like to know. i would have found out earlier, but had
initially checked MY MUSIC only.

um... I've read this three times with no luck of understanding (except the last post).

Ok, we have 3 types of pages.

1) Shopping cart
2) My Music
3) Downloads History

Shopping cart can only consists of non-purchased albums.
When you're purchasing something from shopping cart or directly from album page - this album/track moves to "My Music" page and stays there until you've not downloaded it.
Once you've downloaded something you've previously purchased - this release disappears from "My Music" page and appears in "Downloads History". So you can always check - what you've not downloaded yet.
In case, if you need to re-download something you've purchased - you can do it by selecting this album/track in "downloads history" and clicking on "download again" button. This operation will just transfer selected albums/tracks back to "My Music" page.

There are just 2 places where you can get download links:
1) My Music
2) Album Page

Shopping cart offers only purchase/delete options.
and
Downloads History intended only for giving you an oportunity to re-download purchased album as many times as you need. (But there are no links there, only option to move something back to "My Music" page).
