What I actually meant before was, can't you specify an email address in place where they ask for your phone number? I know all SMS messages can be sent to a pseudo-email address associated with it.
E.g. I have a cell phone from T-Mobile. So I have
Phone_number. Someone can send me a text message from a regular email address to
Phone_number@tmomail.net. I've then gone further and registered an alias associated with this number... something like "princess@tmomail.net" (well, not that one exactly. don't try) So people are able to send me text messages to that email-like address.
So, was wondering if you could just specify an email and hope it works similarly.
