Is it offline or is it me?? - 05-10-2008, 09:22 AM

Hello all! I have been a member of mp3sale for - well - I don't remember but it's been quite a while now. In spite of all the trouble that's been going on I continue to have faith - (have had much kind luck with responses on "their" forum).

My question is - tonight I started trying to preview a couple of songs - successfully added a couple to basket and successfully previewed a couple more. Then I got a virus warning message on my computer (unrelated to the site) and after that I was unable to connect to mp3sale. I can access gomusic and mp3fiesta- which have become my "backup" sites even though they pale in comparison for quantity of product - but no mp3sale. So I was wondering if it was (hopefully) just a coincidence that the site went down at that same time; very desperately hoping I didn't mess up my site access with this new darned anti-virus thing - or with a virus

Incidently, I just wanted to plug for the site a bit...in spite of their issues I was very impressed that they knocked off the "purchase" option for the coming soon items. Only at the very beginning of the problems did I purchase an item and THEN find out I couldn't access it. At least they are keeping us from spending our (now hard to update) precious funds on music we can't access (yet?).

It will take a million storming mad horses to make me lose faith in mp3sale. They rock - even in the face of crisis and chaos. Slow is better than nothing!

I just hope I will some day be able to update my balance again.

Hi tintinabou.

Bot mp3, mp3 download, download mp3 songs and www.MP3Million.com are loading (fast) for me right now (but as pastor39 would put it: "If one of them loads then both will load!")

hmm ... never heard of mp3million so I tried it - looks EXACTLY like mp3sale - but back on topic - mp3million is *trying desperately* to load (I can see most of the page but it's still loading) but the tab I'm using for mp3sale - which I started trying first - is still blank and loading.....and loading and loading.....and still blank.

Maybe it's something else altogether - I hope.

UPDATE: okay - the good news is - mp3million loaded completely (finally) AND it will accept my mp3sale login!! Yaayyy.

the bad news is - I got an IE Cannot Display webpage error on the tab I was using for mp3sale.

I guess it's mp3million for me now???....

I can't keep up - one week one site works, then a week later I've gotta try a new one....holy man I've gotta use up my dollars/euros more quickly on these things 'cause one never knows from day to day.

UPDATE #2 (these are happening as I am writing) - another threat detected. Could mp3sale have been hit by a driveby attack and doesn't know it's affected??????

Me again! (I know *groan*).

mp3million loading instantly - can't preview ANYTHING though.

I have decided - it is a site issue (like I'm qualified or something. )

Okay - I promise I'll leave you alone now.

You have been a www.MP3Sale.ru customer for such a long time NOT knowing that it has a sister site?

Maybe you should take a peek here: http://www.aom3.org/forum/33404-post265.html

Yeah....well - when I first joined I was rudely interrupted by screaming children in the midst of perusing the site and after enduring a multitude of chainlink distractions, promptly wrote off any further attempt at doing anything for myself - (like music related hobbies among others) for a depressively long time! (AND forgot to bookmark....*sigh*). Actually, when I came back to it this past week-ish I didn't even figure out it was that same site until I tried to (re?) register and discovered my username didn't match the password on file (I always use the same username for similar sites). So I checked it out and lo and behold - I was already a member

Shamefully - I skipped the "other sites" thread a bunch of times because I'm so wonderful and intelligent that I was sure I knew about all of them . A year or more ago I tried some random mp3 site searches and ended up getting HUGE amounts of spam about mp3s so I curbed checking out sites unless they were specifically recommended. Started with Gomusic (before it was gomusic) - hit a wall, found sugar and fiesta - put money in, forgot the name(s) and my computer crashed ......list goes on and on.

Mp3sale I found when my Gomusic problems escalated and now that gomusic is working again I still prefer mp3sale. But alas - my pride has precluded me from learning more than I absolutely need to get a song downloaded.

Long story short - ummm - ya, I had no clue they were all sister sites.

Good think I don't parent like I follow mp3 history!!!

Well, as far as I can see - mp3sale had no downtime periods at all for the last few days at least (according to our stats). So I guess it's not mp3sale, but something on your end...

OK for me! - 05-10-2008, 11:36 AM

I downloaded an album about 30 minutes ago and everything worked OK including the ZIP file, still slow compared to others, but at least it worked.

Hi tintinabou

I hope you didn't feel like I was trying to publicly ridicule you for not knowing that www.MP3Sale.ru and www.MP3Million.com are one and the same If so, I apologize - this was not my intention at all I was just surprised that this fact hadn't come to the surface at one time or another in MP3Sale's own forum
