Angry payment security - 12-30-2009, 11:11 AM

as I am trying to add to my ballance sheet with VISA credit card since 1 week but there is the information that MP3sales is using a unvalid security certificat. I pay with CC since feb09 without any problems.

secure.mp3sale.ru verwendet ein ungültiges Sicherheitszertifikat.

Dem Zertifikat wird nicht vertraut, weil das Aussteller-Zertifikat unbekannt ist.

(Fehlercode: sec_error_unknown_issuer)

MP3sales does not answer to my different mails with same question (very bad service)
Does anybody out there knows more about this?

You can try sending Pastor39 a PM (private message) regarding your difficulties. He is a representative for MP3Sales and frequents the site here. Hopefully he can help you sort out your difficulties.

Hi mmaurerch

For some reason, the issuing CA is not in Firefox's built-in list of trusted CAs, but the certificate looks genuine. Internet Explorer, which does have the CA in its built-in list, is quite happy with it. If you have typed mp3sale.ru's address into your browser's address bar, and you are sure that you are really connecting to mp3sale.ru, I see no reason not to accept their certificate.

A more important issue is that previously, the secure payment connection has gone directly to their card processor, and now it is going to mp3sale.ru. It's easy to guess why they have chosen to do this. Mp3Sale is a long-established and reputable site, and I personally would be happy to make a payment to them in this way. But you must decide for yourself whether to trust them with your credit card info, and whether you believe their statement that they do not store this info.

Remember mmaurerch is a new poster and never even says hello.
He could also be a agitator with a good tale as a Mod as I have seen it often enough.Mp3sale does not have to prove themselves but mmaurech must.

I am tired in general of the newbies coming on here in general complaining to us asking for help without so much as a greeting.That's why my attitude may be
be declining.We are not customer service for all the sites.Please do no approach
us as such.We are people just like you.
And If you approach assistance it still pays to be nice,problems happen not just
to you, they happen all the time, all over the world.

You do a great job of this difficult task having to respond to these ongoing posts pleading for help Nightfly.The more I've been involved with Aom3 I've seen the number of times you have to answer the same question over and over. I bet a lot of these ranting/angry posts come from young people who lack proper social skills.

Your point about some etiquette is spot on and I hope others will read this. These new members don't know our role and think we're here to solve their problems -- that's unavoidable. If you're okay with it, I would be more than happy to assist answering these ongoing problems if I get to them before you do.

I think on behalf of many of our senior members I can safely say we appreciate it's not always easy for you as the only moderator and we sincerely appreciate your commitment and knowledge.

Yes as I said in my post we and us.This is not my board it belongs to the members that use it.Yes I would appreciate everybody chipping in as well
and helping each other.I see my role more as a security person keeping people
safe from spammers and trolls.I am no longer the long winded Nightfly of yore,
but want everyone to treat each other here with civility and respect.That
especially goes for newbies because we don't know your true intent as yet.
But all are welcome never the less.But a hello and small sentence of introduction would be nice before you request help from one of Senior members people that know the deal.
