What usually happens is the credit-card company gets a phone call from the RIAA or IFPI: "Hello, if you don't want to get sued so bad that your grandchildren are homeless, you will decline all charges by Russian music sites." For a few days, or a week, you can't add to your account. But then somebody comes up with a workaround (usually a third-party credit-card processor).
It's a fact of life for those of us who get our music this way. You can look at the rigamarole as a $#@&-ing inconvenience, or you can say, "Hey, I'm living in a spy novel!
