Fully Alive! - 03-24-2008, 02:59 PM

Well, Mp3sugar came back after this short turn off period. Also, The day before the login problems I bought like 5 dollars in songs, and now I have those 5 dollars back in my account, so they did it well I guess .

Anyway, this was a warning. Mp3sugar haven't made any updates in their database and they don't look "healthy" (just search "Eyes of Eden"). When I've spend all my balance I will runaway to another mp3store. You should do the same if this situation doesn't change.

P.D. Sorry for my gramatical mistakes :P

What can i spend it on before it disappears? - 03-24-2008, 03:59 PM

I'd give you my 16 bucks if I could - I never really liked sugar as it seems to be dominated by by metal whenever I try exploring the cataolgue (and the low bit rates too).

I'll see if i can find anything worth getting to use it up. I hesitate to ask, but recommendations would be interesting!

Well, I got into Mp3sugar because I found an album of an unknow Galician power metal band . You're totally right, Mp3sugar is dominated by metal, it's great for unknow bands that you can't find anywhere.

Recommendations... well, as you can see (or read) I'm a metalhead. Try why "soft" things like Sonata Arctica or Demons & Wizards. Also Axenstar and Falconer might interest you.

They have some interesting Blues and Reggae pieces there if you're into
that.Just search by genre and check the results.

I found quite a few of obscure soul and r&b records. That was the only brief attraction of mp3sugar for me. I am still sitting atop a fortune of $16 balance. I've never had a balance in any store dwindle so slowly! I'd almost said good bye to it over the past couple of days when Mp3Sugar was down - but looks like I can play with fire a little bit longer!

Well, I expected to loose 25 dollars when the login problems began, and that's nothing compare to the balance I had in November of the past year: almost $130. Yeah, you find very interesting things in Mp3sugar if you're a metalhead. I've finnished a list of weird & unknow bands (of course always good ones) to spend the rest of that money

Thanks for the suggestions catsofbodom, but having abandoned metal after the early eighties (it just got too extreme for my taste - though my very first concert was Black Sabbath supported by Van Halen in Glasgow - front row, I was half-deaf for two days afterwards!) I'll check out the blues suggested by Nightfly.
Cheers
