problems downloading in mp3sugar.com - 05-08-2007, 12:09 AM

New member here.

I have been an active member of allofmp3 for a very long time. I just joined mp3sugar.com. Seems like it has a nice selection. Anyway, got my account setup and previewed the songs. Tried to download with firefox and it wouldn't save the entire file. So, I switched to IE, using version 7.0. I'm still on XP service pack 2.

When I right click and 'save target as' I get 'Internet Explorer cannot download xxxx.mp3 from download.mp3sugar.com. The server returned an invalid or unrecognized response'.

I have tried turning of my firewall protection, both McAfee and through IE. Changed settings, restarted my pc. I even tried logging in through a different PC but it wouldn't even log me in(?). I have sent an email to mp3sugar support.

Thought I would check here to see if anyone has any suggestions. Sorry to be long winded but hopefully all this detail will help. Yes I did a google search and didn't find anything helpful.

thanks!

Download still not works???

I was trying to download a track more than a week ago but had the same experience as you, so I just found the song on MPSale, thinking it was a temporary thing. I too left a message to support - a message they haven't replied to. Strange.

Sugar more like quick sand - 07-03-2007, 10:03 PM

I've been a member of the sugar for over a year and started having problems several months. I think a virus or malicous software has been loaded into the site. I use IE6 still, & never had a problem but then after the server problems answered by support things took a nasty turn. Upon opening the site everything was okay until I moved to download something, saving target as always but that's when my system takes a dump. Everything slows to a crawl including the mouse cursor acting weird. I can't open any windows and every other web site opened freezes. I cannot open any more windows. The computer crashes until I reboot. I'm up to date with security and the decent windows defender finds nothing. Once rebooted every thing is working properly after moving icons and resetting volume - so it has to be spyware that some firm or private party has loaded.
I don't open this sugar anymore and I guess I will lose my balance.
Mike
