spam - 10-28-2008, 03:45 PM

I like to keep things positive but I have received one after another spam email from various music sites all of which eventually lead back to mp3count which I guess is the old mp3 sugar. I had never gone to their site before and will now avoid them purposely because of this. In my mind, they are no better than the numerous viagra stores.

Hi guys

Yes, this is pretty annoying and has been going on for a while now. All this spam seems to be going to addresses registered with Mp3Sugar or payment processor Chronopay. And it's coming from the usual spam sources - web mail and spam-bots. I wouldn't go near Mp3Count if they're going to do this sort of stuff.

I was subject to it a couple of weeks ago, but I did not open any of them and they now seem to have stopped, not had one for a while now.

I don't know if it's because they got no reply or because my ISP's spam filter has trained itself to stop them.

I've just told my spam filter to delete them automatically. Of course they'll keep making up new addresses to send from but the gesture makes me feel better

Evening Hirs, how are you tonight?

Unfortunately there is not a great deal one can do about spam but they do seem to have dried up for me.

Hi Ashley, not so bad and thanks for asking I've only got to work tomorrow then I'm on holiday Thursday & Friday

I know one can never completely stop spam but maybe I can 'bin' their addresses quicker than they can set up new ones

Bumming round the house doing jobs for most of Thursday and meeting some mates down the pub on Thursday night to celebrate someone's 50th.
Friday is trying to put a brave face on the hangover and going to Windsor
Wedding on Saturday and the Brazilian Grand Prix on Sunday
Bact to work for a rest on Monday?
