Daopay - 04-22-2008, 01:51 PM

Has anyone else tried the Daopay option on Legalsounds? If so, how much did it cost you? I'm looking at the SMS option (initially), but £10 for an SMS seems a little on the steep side for $10 credit!

I tried to use it, but my vonage phone can't do 900 toll calls.

I did a little research and DAOPAY seem well respected so figured I'd give the text option a go (am in the UK)

Note that you need to text "DP nnnnnnnn" to the SMS number given - not "nnnnnnnnnn#" - I guessed this after reading the daopay account.

Anyway about 90s after sending I got a text back confirming payment, clicked the continue option in legalsounds and now have 10 USD credit for 5.09 UKP (checked my mobile bill in real time). Who knows where the 9pm came from. I don't care...

Hi planetf1

This was probably due to fact that it was 9 PM in the Ukraine at the time of your purchase

But it's good to know that alternative payment methods are possible and thanks for sharing the "DP nnnnnnnn"-trick

Just need alltunes to use it... the flexibility of choosing bit rate and supporting AAC really was a "killer" feature.
