I would try the opposite, I don't think the majority of users on LegalSounds are in the US (I don't know this for a fact). 7-9 pm in the US is 2-4 am in the UK and 7-9 pm in the UK is 2-4 am in US. If I were a better, I'd bet that most of the contention occurs at peak Euro times because that where most of their users are located. Good luck.

I guess that puts some real data behind it. Still looks to me like the large number of users are across the pond (from the US). Interesting to see that total users went from 28K in Feb 07 to 60K in Jan 08. I stumbled across LegalSounds by accident when doing a search for some song that I liked by Keane and thru Google I ended up finding LS, which led me to finding the other Russian sites.

I'm a little late on the discussion but yes LegalSounds download speed has slowed considerably. However, it has not always been that way. I have notice the change in the past one or two months. Prior to just recently LS downloader was very consistent and fast. Hopefully, LS will get back up to speed.

I've found that the LS downloader has been really slow recently (~25 kbps) but using Firefox & Down ThemAll is normal speed (~600 kbps),

Just an update here in th uk - the speed has increased from when i originally tried them so maybe they have upped their capabilities i'm getting upto about a max of 90k to an low of about 50k - much better than before - this is at 10 am on a sunday gmt . thanks for all the suggestions & responses - good to know help is out there

Agree about speed but weekends tend to be ok.

Also I went with legal sounds after the demise of alltunes purely for the simple download facility - my question are there any other sites which offer the same functionality that anyone can recommend?

Soundsbox has it own extremely fast downloader..and it's very good site
as well...

Happy to announce that Legalsounds is back to normal and has been for a least a couple of weeks now. Just thought I needed to say this since I had posted a complaint about their download speed.
