As you say it seems impossible to pay using Visa - I tried and got 'Payment declined' or similar with all the options I tried.

I know it's not much good if you haven't got one, but I have just managed to add $25 by using Mastercard through the 'Assist' payment option.
E-LS and WebToPay had both previously rejected my Mastercard.
Maybe you have a friend, with a Mastercard, who would let you use it to top up your account (as long as you pay them back of course )
Just a thought

I'd give up on allofmp3 months ago and just decided the other night to look for a new electronic music seller. Legalsounds seems very simliar to AOM, and after hunting around I found most of the older things I was looking for (I have about 2K lps that I can't imagine taking the time to digitize). In any case having spent all morning trying I can't add any $ to legalsounds (I tried Visa, setting up an account with the Latvian/Lituanian exchange sites, etc.). I think it may be well neigh impossible to add money from the US. Anybody haven't any recent expereince that says different.

Use the Tor/Vidalia/Firefox funding trick to get around the IP block, which Ashleyj has made a great post on: http://www.aom3.org/forum/funding-yo...html#post11706 (post 13) - and so did Lazycat: http://www.aom3.org/forum/funding-yo...html#post12575 (post 13)

You can do this for all the other shops (including LegalSounds) too

Thanks, I'll give it a try, though I've just discovered, being as I'm somewhat dim, the Sparks possibility.

You didn't know AllOfMP3 became MP3Sparks in March (full time from July 13)?

What I don't know could fill a book. Several books.

When AOM went down I just stopped paying attention. I'd been pretty busy with work and home so it wasn't a big deal but I've been trying to get back on track with digitizing things that are in my rather ample vinyl library (you remember vinyl right?). I have LP Recorder/LP Ripper but that's a more than real time experience so when I can find a reasonably priced option for dirrect to digital I go for it. I've already ripped everything any of my friend have that I'd need.

Hi MeridianFC-Suited.

If you are looking for 12 inches from the 80's, then you should try out JustMusicStore

I have a few 12" from back then, mostly New Wave/Punk stuff but those are things I don't mind taking the time to transfer, it's more full lps. Mostly rock/pop, a lot of folk, a bit of punk/indie/alternative, and a smattering of major lable reggae.

BTW if anyone is looking for a digital version of 5 Hand Reel or Raise the Dragon I'm yer man. What no one?

Thanks for the hints.
