Question Jason Donovan - 05-06-2008, 12:20 AM

Eric's certainly put on the weight and his voice has matured, but he did all the major songs including Spill The Wine, and was well worth seeing. Don't know how these will translate as unplugged, but really worth the effort in electric mode.

Would absolutely love to see Donovan. Have been hanging out for years for him to tour Australia - hopefully the festival won't be a one off show for him and we'll see him down-under in due course.

As I'm in Australia I'll obviously be giving this a miss, but if I was anywhere in the UK I wouldn't miss it for quids.

Cheers,
Now I just have to know: IS this Jason Donovan or what? He is Australian...

Hi solaris

I thought you were joking when you asked about Jason Donovan No, this is the other Donovan, the one who can sing http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donovan . He was supposed to be Britain's answer to Bob Dylan. If you really don't know his music, you can download the whole of his Greatest Hits album in one mp3 file from Mp3Sugar for 16 cents

It looks like there will be plenty of room for my tent at the festival

Were you trying to lure solaris to pitch his tent by making a comparison to Bob Dylan? not a good strategic move

That's a bit unfair on Bob Dylan; I'm sure he released at least one good song No, Donovan was supposed to be Britain's answer to Bob Dylan - fortunately, he wasn't Britain's answer to Bob Dylan.

Oh I love Bob Dylan. He has more than a few good songs. I am just talking specifically about Solaris. You'd impress him more with Britain's answer to Luther Vandross - and there are plenty of those

Hi vikulenka

Who needs a Luther Vandross clone when you can watch a 75-strong all-female a cappella choir singing 'I Predict A Riot'? YouTube - Cheshire Chord Company
