You can do this? How? And for how long have we had this opportunity?

I think what he meant was, you can select manually the songs that you are bying. So you can select the remaining songs.

There isn't an automated function "Download the rest of the album".

I guess I'm in the minority. 90% or more, I download tracks only.

This is how I've always collected music, starting with my vinyl-based days in the mid-1960's. Back when I was a radio and club DJ, I felt the biggest part of my job was to scan thru new album releases and pick the best tracks, so it's a habit I still have. Now if only I could jump the digital preview of a track ahead to the middle like I could with vinyl!

Life is too short -- sorry, but there just aren't that many artists who can turn out consistently good songs over and over. Same reason I don't try every single item on a restaurant menu, or read every single article in a magazine, or enjoy every single Beethoven symphony or Shakespeare play, or read every thread on this excellent forum! The biggest expense isn't necessarily the disk space or the cost (although those can be factors, believe it or not), it's the time I have to listen!

Hi makbo,
I am pretty sure that you can do this so long as you are listening to the tracks logged in via the web-site; mp3sparks or MM (does not work with alltunes). There is a thread which discussed this a couple of weeks ago, but I can't find it,
Cheers,
Dave C

If you log into MP3Sparks (or MM), you can choose whichever track you want to hear on the album and when you move the slider, you can listen to the middle of the song, if you want to (see attachment)

Thanks for the repiles. I'm torn between the two, one hand downloading full albums makes your music collection easier to manage. On the other hand though downloading songs that you like saves time, money and disk space but the downside is you could miss out on some great tunes.

As my music collection is very small (only just started) so I have only got 200 songs in iTunes I'm leaning towards downloading full albums probably because I'm somewhat of a perfectionist and hate having a few songs from one album and a few from another and so on, which is what I have now.

Well I must dash as I need to load allTunes and get the rest of the songs for all the part albums I have.

Bye for now,
