Talking Albums you shouldn't like, but do - 09-16-2008, 08:11 PM

As the title says, albums which on paper you should hate, but for some reason love.
Two from me are:-

Robyn - Robyn. This is classed as Pop / Club / Dance. Reading those style I would usually run a mile, but I got it a couple of months ago when was bored and I had read a good review and it is definitely in my top five albums released so far this year

Jorge Ben - África Brasil. Classed as: - Brazilian Pop / Latin Pop / Samba. The one genre of music which I generally dislike more that any other is Latin, but after reading so many top reviews of this album I though I would have to give it a try, and to my surprise it is excellent . I have since tried a few other 'Latin' albums and found them all to be total crap, so maybe this is the only good one,
Cheers,
Dave

I dislike Latin music too for some reason. ALL OF IT.

But for me... brace yourselves... Titanic soundtrack! I am truly embarrassed that I actually like that Titanic song (Celine Dion? Can't remember) - and the fact that I am actually telling you all about it is only because I am a confident person and I don't really care that you are all snickering about it as you're reading this.

I can't snicker much, Frunze, because I recently downloaded Firefall's Greatest Hits (yes, there was more than one!)

Love this topic, btw.

I hate Celine Dion with a passion! She's on on short list of singers that I truly can't stand. The "Titanic Song" is the prime example of why I can't stand her. Hate it!!

Without thinking about this too hard,I came up with the Aerosmith tune "Walk This Way".
To explain,I absolutely hate rap music.
I don't even consider it music.

Ever since rundmc has ruined that song,I'm not sure that I should actually like it anymore.
But I do.

I don't know whether you'll be saddened or encouraged by this but ...
