Personally I am at a tie between two song lyrics - both by the same writers/producers (Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis) and vocals/band (Mary Davis/The S.O.S Band):

Well, this is one of my favourite songs of all time. It is the last track from Mariah's "Fantasy" album, otherwise filled with hits and singles. I think "Looking In" is by far her best and most unknown song ever. It's one of those special songs that made me stop in my tracks when I first heard it. Both the melody, the words, and the delivery are phenomenal. Funny, it still feels as personal as it did when I heard it as an adolescent.

I am sure I am going to get laughed out of this forum for this, but oh well

Just realized the album's name is "Daydream"

"Fantasy" was the name of the first single.
