The day the music dies - Telegraph

Above is a copy of a piece about DRM music in my Daily Telegraph newspaper today, and very interesting it is, another good reason not to buy DRM music.

Great article, Chris

I wish someone could send this piece of writing 10 years back into time, addressed to the executives of the big record companies, so they wouldn't have wasted everyone's time and money for so many years with this DRM-fiasco

If you sent this article back ten years they would realise that downloading had a future and they would just try to find new ways of undermining the mp3 format and they would double their efforts with DRM. You can't teach an old dog new tricks,
Cheers,
Dave

In the US everything is about about Monopoly's and Mergers .. and there
is no room for free trade and mom and pop stores..they do Not want
to work out agreements with competition (like The Russian sites)..
They want to eliminate completion on all levels..They are blinded by their
own greed and do not know how to change..even when it is right in front of their nose...and look how Virgin records left their customers high and dry..
as Chris said this is another good reason not to buy DRM DLs.
Especially from these large Corps... they will take your money and make
you feel cheated everytime ...many feel they do not have options.
But we know better .....
and so do millions of other music lovers thats why these big labels
are failing miserably ...........
