For those who get into festive season mode, what are your must have Christmas/Hannukkah/Kwanza/Solstice/etc. tracks?

Where Does Father Christmas Hang His Stocking [Alan Randall]
I'm Walking Backwards For Christmas [Goons]
What Can You Get A Wookie For Christmas (When He Already Owns A Comb?) [Star Wars Intergalactic Droid Choir And Chorale]

Impressive list, Dave.

Can I suggest some additions. I will start with a few in the blues/folk genre which you might like to try.

All are available on Sparks/MM:

John Prine - 'Christmas in Prison'
Mick Jagger and Josse Stone - 'Lonely Christmas' (From the movie 'Alfie')
Tom Waits - 'Christmas Card From a Hooker in Minneapolis'
Jethro Tull - 'Greensleeved'
Wild Colonials -'Christmas is Quiet'
Jars of Clay - 'Christmas for Cowboys'
The Chieftans- 'The Rebel Jesus' (and many others off their 'Bells of Dublin' album).
Triakel - 'Innan Gryningen' (Solaris could probably translate this)
Vienna Teng - 'The Athiest Christmas Carol' (seriously - it's not banning thread material - that comes in a later post)
Natalie Merchant - 'Children Go Where I Send Thee' (probably my favorite on this list).

Squash

Where's Bruce - 12-01-2007, 02:46 PM

Surely there should be room for Bruce Springsteen with the best ever rendition of "Santa Claus in Comin' to Town"

I don't believe it, non of these are available on mp3sparks. I think the Goons is the only one I have heard before, and What Can You Get A Wookie For Christmas sounds like a classic,
Cheers,
