I am sure all of you on this forum are familiar with Last FM (Last.fm – The Social Music Revolution). It's great for tracking your musical tastes, creating personal radio stations out of your favorite artists, and finding out what people are listening to. I keep it in sync with my iPod, so everything I listen to counts.

Just realized that they also have free download section, which is updated all the time.

Funny - I don't think the free Mika is the same Mika that you and I used to not like - although I don't like this one either

Hi Vik & Nightfly,
if you both use last.fm, can you be my friend's. I quite like last.fm for the reasons you said (excellent for finding new stuff by seeing what people with similar taste to you are also listening to). I always feel a bit of a 'Billy no mates' though as I only have one friend, and I have no idea who he is. It will be interesting to see what our musical compatibility ratings are using the Taste-o-meter (my guess is not very high).
The only criteria for becoming my friend is Mika must be visible in your overall top 50 artist list.

I would love to be your friend Mika is (gasp!) in my probably top 5! This site only has my history since I joined, which is 2 months ago - which nowhere near resembles my general listening preferences!

Dare you to find me on Last.fm I think you won't have too much trouble!

By the way - does your list include your WHOLE listening history from iTunes or just in the past 2 months? I think some people have been able to import their whole history during registration. I never got prompted for it for some reason, and now I can't do it anymore.

I'm not sure, I think it downloaded everything from my i-tunes. It's got me down as playing 19,700 tracks and I doubt I could do that many in two month,

[EDIT] I know that I ended up joining twice because the first time it showed by favorite track as 'Jingle Bells' and my fav. artist as 'Nursery Rhymes', so I had to ditch that account and open another one after resetting my play count for the kids music in i-tunes

I might need to join again in order to re-import my itunes history properly.

When I click the arrow to listen to a track I get error message Firefox does not know how to open because lastfm not associated with any program.
Help?
