Looking for recommendations... - 07-21-2008, 11:00 AM

I’m on the hunt for some new bands/music to enjoy and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations?

This is the kind of stuff I currently like…in no particular order:-

The Wombats, The Enemy, The Rakes, Lifehouse, Matchbox Twenty, Good Charlotte, Plain White T's, The Fratellis, Kaiser Chiefs, The Pigeon Detectives, Fall Out Boy, The Fray, Bowling for soup, Arctic Monkeys, Scouting for girls, The Hoosiers, 30 Seconds to Mars, Nickelback, One Republic, The Kooks, The Futureheads, Hard-Fi, Lost Prophets, Green Day, My Chemical Romance, The Zutons, The Feeling, Razorlight, Kasabian, Stereophonics, Snow Patrol, The Killers, Oasis, Blur, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Keane, etc etc etc

Nada Surf's new album has great written pop songs..I play it a lot.

Not new, but you may like "Stiff Little Fingers" also, and prehaps a bit harder to track down, "Springbok Nude Girls". Aussie band "TISM" are also quite good

Albums by The Veils, The Comas, The Academy Is, Phantom Planet, The New Pornographers, We Are Scientists, The Vines, American Hi-Fi are all downloading as I type

For anyone interested I'll post what I think when I've given them a couple of listens
