Please help me out. Anyone knows this song? - 04-18-2007, 10:29 PM

In January 1999 I was watching the UK chart show on MTV. Well, I was watching Cat Deeley as much as anything else

In the beginning of the show, she suddenly shows an up tempo euro dance track, in which a VERY blond DJ plays his two turntables out in the pouring rain, while a girl sings the lyrics (I can't remember any of it, unfortunately). The rain keeps pouring down for the entire video.

The problem is that Cat never said, who this was. And sometimes they played stuff that wasn't in the charts. Immediately after this song she played another euro dance hit: Greece 2000 by Three Drives, which was actually in the charts in January.

I have been looking through the UK dance charts from that period and so far I have come up with nothing.

I know it's not much to go on but maybe one of you guys know what song this is?

Please help me out.

Try to look in some "workout cd's"... It might be there...

EDIT: it isen't that helpful, if you don't know the name... If you have just the slightest idea of the name, try search it on youtube....

If I could remember just one word from the lyrics then rest assured that I could have found it myself. I've done that numerous times before. But unfortunately I don't. That's why I in my desperation hope that at least one member of the forum remembers that exact video.

Solaris,

Bit of a wild stab this, have you tried looking at the compilation albums Now That's what I call Music xx (where xx is some number ) for the mid / end of 1998 or early 1999? (For the UK as they have then for the USA as well!)

If it was a big hit it may be on such an album. You can probably preview it on one of the download sites.

Bit of a ball ache I agree as they are usually double albums but you may fall lucky!

Hi Acordis.

I'm the proud owner of all Now That's What I Call Music 8, 9, 10, 11, 12....65, 66 + Now That's What I Call Music 1980, 1981, 1982....1998, 1999 (both the original series (which starts in 1983) and the millennium edition) all on CD.

I also have Now... Years, Now... Decades and Now... '87 (also known as Now...4) on CD.

I have approximately 1100 Compilation albums on CD and it's not on one of them.

I would probably win every competition I entered, if it was about British and American chart hits from 1980 up until present time (I have a lot of self confidence in this particular field, I know ) - but this track somehow slipped under the radar.

I have even looked through all UK top 75 charts from that time period but also with no result.

I know this was a long shot but there's so much music knowledge in this forum, so I guess, I just hoped someone actually saw this particular chart show and remembered.

But thanks for the reply and your suggestion of a possible solution.

And thanks for your nice comments in another thread. Appreciated.

Hi Solaris,

I just read this thread and I'm taking a stab at it. I'm wondering if the DJ you saw is 'DJ Aligator.' He plays two turntables and in one of his videos his hair is VERY bleached blonde.

DJ Aligator made this song with Kaya Bruel called 'Here Comes The Rain Again'

Btw .. it IS at MM.
