Her name's Duffy. I don't know if you'll be able to access this BBC link BBC - Radio 2 - Music Club - Duffy . Apparently her first album is out in February - I'll certainly be waiting for it

Two more ladies worth noting:
The first for your delectation, ladies and gentlemen, is
Kat Flint and her album "Dirty Birds". Despite what I'm going to write

I hate 'categorising' music but she's a bit of a mixture of Laura Marling, Feist and A Fine Frenzy - Somewhat folky and essentially 'singer songwriter' but, on some tracks, a little bit of orchestration to give an extra dimension.
The second lady is
Dawn Kinnard who is described as being a weird yet wonderful Pennsylvanian (whatever that means

) and her album "The Courtesy Fall" is out (in the UK at least) on 7th April. You can check her out on dawnkinnard.com - You can also find her on MySpace, YouTube & LastFM (I won't post links 'cos GM, quite rightly, will tell me off

). She's got a very sexy, sultry, seductive voice (much how I imagine Vikulenka to sound

). The Courtesy Fall was produced by Martin Terefe (Martha Wainwright/KT Tunstall/James Morrison) and there's also some music collaboration with Cerys Matthews.
If I'm late to the party and everyone already knows about these ladies then I'm sorry but it's the thought that counts
