Question Wanted: rare track - 02-25-2008, 04:27 PM

I'm looking for the instrumental version of track 9 of the soundtrack of the Frech "Taxi" movie from 1998. This version was used in the final car chase in the film, but for some reason they put a lame French rap vocal version on the album. The track is called "Le Dernier Coup" and the artist is "Freeman".
I have found some downloads on obscure Russian sites that pretend to be this track, but they sound nothing like it (more like the demo program of a Casio keyboard).

Mind that this is probably very hard to find, I'm not even certain that this instrumental version has ever left the movie studio. But there are old forum posts which seem to suggest that some people have it...

Thanks, but the soundtrack album does not contain the instrumental version, only the rap version... I'm afraid it only exists on a CDR in Luc Besson's office

I wouldn't mind a copy of that if it exists too, but I could only find the midi version.

Ah, you're not a bot... - Welcome to the forum, then...

I'm afraid you'll have to contact RedSmurf to plead for that particular link.

My post directed at RedSmurf was made waaay back in February, so that PM is no longer located in my Sent items, since I now only have room for 3,000 PMs at any given time

I have probably sent more than twice that amount since then...
