Bruce / Trower "Seven Moons" - 09-03-2008, 08:27 AM

If you are a fan of Cream and/or Robin Trower I would check out the 2008 release "Seven Moons". Heard one of the songs on XM, rreally liked it, and found that the entire disc is the shiznit. A real horn honker. Well, the last 3 songs were not as good as the stellar first eight IMO, but it really reminded me of Cream with Trower power licks. 4.5 stars.

Agreed. It's gotten multiple plays by me. Too bad they didn't tour with it.

The TrowerPower website says that there may be a small tour with the Bruce/Trower collaboration coming up 2009. I saw Robin in a small club 3 yrs back and he was superb.

Chiming in on the Seven Moons Bruce/Trower...
I think Jack Bruce is amazing, who ever he colaborates with
is always bought to a high level.I have seen him in the 80's
with a pure latin jazz group and he sang 5 songs...and his bass
playing amazing...never forget it..

Trower sounded really refined and top of his game with Bruce.

Kudos to them both.

I'll have to get it then. I'm old enough to have owned Trower's classic "Bridge of Sighs" on vinyl AND the 1st pairing of those two on the "Truce" album
