Thumbs up Deadstring Brothers - 01-27-2008, 10:57 AM

I would like to recommend this American band, who have recently hired two brothers from the next road where I live, infact I was speaking to their Dad only this morning.

Deadstring Brothers - mp3 hits download full albums in mp3 - Starving Winter Report, Deadstring Brothers

They are sort of Blues/Stones type of music with a good pedal guitar.

The two brothers are Jeff & Spencer Cullum and they were in a local band here in Essex, UK, before being approached to join the Deadstring Brothers.

Have a listen and see what you think, our friends in the USA may already know the band.

Chris you hit a home run with this one..
We definitely agree on this one.......

This is one of the best alternative country/rock bands I've heard in ages.
These guys really rock! They deserve more attention then their getting.

I've downloaded 2 of their albums on Emusic already..Their self titled and
Starving Winter Report..and I'm going back later for the third.

Thanks for the great recommend!

I listened to a few of their tracks.
They sounded a bit like The Rolling Stones to me.
I like the Stones.

Yes Chris, I got all 3 albums on my player...
Listened to Silver Mountain last night(coincidence..I think not.. )
..has a different sound then the
other 2 albums a cross between Stones and the late Graham Parsons
who unfenced the Stones country stuff.Has a different producer.
I like their first self titled the best..rough sounding album with great
pedal steel. But all 3 albums are some of the best Alt/Country
stuff out today.

Once again thanks for the most excellent recommend.
